Food was tasty and portions were good. Waitress probably started there when they opened. Should have written the order down. Came back numerous times to confirm what everyone ordered.

Walking around Sunset Blvd again and decided to try out another Mexican restaurant. The inside was a little dark but very quaint. The waitress was very nice and the busperson was very efficient. The chips and salsa was very good. I ordered the cheese enchilada plate and a carne asada soft corn taco. Overall the food was delicious and service was exceptional. I definitely will be back again when I come back to Los Angeles for another Dodgers game.

Excellent service from staff for such a busy restaurant. Valet service is friendly and reasonable, as local, self-parking is nearly impossible. My food order wasn't accurate, however, possibly because it was lost in translation over the noise (it's a lively place). Bartenders are fast and attentive. The famous, "flaming margaritas" are a must-have with any order. Great spot for hanging out before walking up to Dodger Stadium.

Always excellent customer service. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious authentic Mexican food. You can always quench your thirst with their unique hand crafted drinks from the bar. Perfect place to enjoy the Dodgers game, and other sports or to stop by before the game to grab a bite or drink at reasonable prices.🍻🍸🍽️😋💯

Met with a friend for dinner. Very enjoyable, even though the kitchen was about 9 minutes to close. The staff made it happen.

My family and I were staying at The Comfort Inn on Sunset Blvd and wanted to eat dinner at a good Mexican restaurant. We were lucky to find this place. A little expensive, but it's worth it. My parents ordered the flaming margaritas, which looked good and would have ordered myself if I wasn't driving. The food was excellent. Would eat here again.

Listen guys. Coming from a Mexican background, there are not many mexican places that have a cross between well tasting food and an elegant aesthetic. The flaming margaritas will have your Instagram looking fire 🔥. In echo park, ASK FOR SANTIAGO! He is the best at delivering great customer service and attention to details for your food and drink orders!

Did not know about this place and I feel so out of it. So good. Definitely could be our place. Genuine tasty food in a dimly lit old time environment with snappy service, cheap valet, and flaming drinks. Pan Mexicano food, Veracruz dishes as well as mole.

Overall, I had a great time at El Compadre and the service was incredible. The staff were all very attentive the entire time and really friendly. I'm definitely going to come back here again in the future. The food/drink quality and level of service here is also way better than most of the other brunch places that make you wait over an hour for a table. Highly recommend a visit here!

Classic Tex-Mex style Mexican food in a great old neighborhood restaurant. One of my all time favorite spots.

stopped by el compadre on my way back to San Diego and I’m so glad I did! Not only were the tacos great but so was the hospitality. Our server George was the best! 10/10 recommend!

This spot provides awesome service and delicious menu. The best place around here. The drinks and food arrived quick and the rates are economical. Recommended.

This place is very close to the Dodger's stadium parking is available and in the the back or on the streets. When you walk, in it is very dark until your eyes adjust but it's pretty chill place. Got a nice cold beer and ordered a shrimp tostada. It was ok just not too tasty! It had a slight after taste on those shrimp, I had to add extra lemon to make it taste a bit better. The server was ok and would only attend to our table if we called out on him. Not sure that I would go back though.

Enchiladas Acapulco with some Cadillac Margatitas. Both were outstanding!

Be careful to not fill up on chips because food is tasty too! Got the flaming margarita mmmmmm. Place is very dimly lit so heads up on that. TVs playing local sports and a great bar.

Mexican food... my favorite treat. got there about three, it wasn't crowded. definitely worth going back to. this place has a nice atmosphere.

Delicious food, cute waiters, nice ambiance, extremely comfortable booths... and the best street tacos I've ever had! I'd give it 6 stars, except you gotta pay an extra $5 just for parking... and they have a valet for a little tiny parking lot with only about 15-20 spots, which I thought was kinda weird. (To be fair, I am from out of town so this could be the norm in the area, I dunno... but it was just odd to me. Sorry guys. But, still... kudos on literally EVERYTHING ELSE! You're great!) 👍👍👍👍👍

Margherita, food and service are great! Would have given 5 stars but for the occasional wait time to be seated, with or without a reservation. I guess they're popular...Lol

Fun atmosphere with love music. Not very authentic good, kind of Americanized or watered down version of Mexican food. The portions are rather large but it's also kind of pricy.

Overall it was ok. It served the occasion. The food took a lil longer than expected. We asked the waitress if they had a spicier sauce she said NO. Meanwhile we had asked the bus boy right before (we thought he forgot) he then brought it. Why did the waitress say no?? Will not return. I walked up to him (didn't catch his name) but tipped him and thanked him for his service.

This spot sure knows how to treat their customers. Consistently with a very welcoming approach. The food is fairly priced, always flavorful and neat.

Delicious Mexican food!

We love this place. Live music on the weekends. Food was well priced, great, and arrived to the table quick. BIG comfy booths to sit in for multiple people. 5 Stars.

The places touts itself as a local favorite and with amazing margaritas...well...it is known by locals and does have margaritas, but neither of these facts are strong eolnough to keep people coming back in. I mean they are good, but not...as good as they want you to believe. Also, the staff are somewhat of automatons in that they never listened to us finish our orders before moving on, backtracking because they forgot and did not write details, and did not some to fathom why someone in a Mexican place might want a shot of tequila and not a margarita

Best Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles! The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the margaritas are right on point.

Great food, staff is friendly and attentive. There's valet parking available so just pull right up to the restaurant. They had live music on a Friday night which was a nice touch and there's a bar with plenty of screens to watch the game or fights on.

I LIKE THE FOOD, the service a litle slow it took long timr for the food to arrive, but over all it's good.

Best mexican food I ever had. Great authentic feel to the place. Live music. Only down fall was having to pay $5 for parking even when we ate here. But still amazing place. I will always stop by when I'm in town.

Great spot. The salsa served with the chips is excellent. A bit on the expensive side,but you get what you pay for...Loved the decor and the comfortable booths.

The food was great, specifically the carne asada tacos, guacamole, the drinks were cold and fresh, and the atmosphere really sets the tone before the game, you don’t really feel like your compadre is next to you but overall good service. A random female waitress told me they don’t share the WiFi password but I was asking her if they have touch tunes. The music choice needs work as they replayed the same song 4 times within 2 hours before the game..

Birthday Reservations. Valet parking $5.00Party of 6.The menu had variety Drinks/ plates. That were delicious prepared. Waitstaff was curious and prompt- Even after we ate and paid- and decided to stay for another round of drinks! Long Island Ice Tea and Flaming Raspberry Margarita! Price was reasonably fair- There was live music by Mariachi, during the evening dinner time. Some sections could use additional lighting.
